people slamming your door

Why do people do it?!!! Does my head in, maybe they don't know their own strength but seriously come on and also when the push the door close by pushing the window / glass.instead of using the door.
 
Only makes me rage because it sounds like a tin can :oops:

Need to open it up and do much soundproofing really.
 
Does my head in! Missus does it all the time! Can't wait till she has her own car, I'm gunna slam doors, fill the door pockets with sweet wrappers and drag shopping bags against the dash/glovebox when getting out.

When I ask her to be careful she gets all offended. All I ask is that she's a little more careful!

Blood boiling as we speak :lol:
 
I think its due to the weight of them! Also being quite low down people tend to full open the doors... so once they get going they really get momentum!

My gf used to slam them at first, but now she knows better!

Although she still slams the boot!!

:headbang: yes , makes me mad if you say anything you get the its only a car thing, if you ask them not to slam the door before they do so, they think your kin mad !! I hate people even touching the paint cause even on a dry day the car may look clean but is actually dusty and you get marks and prints everywhere, solution, be a gent and open the door for the ladies, trouble is, mrs mad 4 knows why i open the door for her and moans at that !!! :headbang: if its one of my mates i have to somehow tell them to guard the bolster as they get in .... ARRRGGHHHH this car is going to give me high blood pressure!!! have been like it since 17 in my first mk 1 escort sport :thumbsup:
 
These doors are like tanks doors compared to my Elise - one slam too hard and the glass broke off the brackets dropping straight down into the door :headbang: That wasn't a cheap fix :cry:
 
Put their head in to act as a cushion and after the first slam they never do it again!

im really bad for doing that on my car. one day it will go south and i will break my glass and that will teach me a lesson i guess.
 
My mum does it ALL the time, like she is shutting a heavy oak door or something. Even worse, twice she has got the metal bit of the seat belt caught between the door and the frame.... sigh.... resulting in two lovely dents :(.
