pedestrian crossings and cyclists! rant

I commute by car, pushbike and motorbike and I see things from all angles. I encounter many stupid people using all 3 types of transport on a daily basis.

I think as far as cycling is concerned, cyclists and car drivers need to remember that a car in a collision with a cycle will possibly get scratched or dented, the driver annoyed, a cycle will get pretty mashed up and the cyclist will very likely end up in hospital or worse. A point worth remembering by both parties.

Actually only yesterday I was riding by cycle along a main road and another commuter didn't even look and pulled out almost into me!!!..... and he was riding a pushbike!!! :?

HOW ABOUT ROAD TAX ? They don't buy fuel or pay anything else to use the roads, why let them on if they don't pay for upkeep.?

This was hotly debated in another thread a year or so ago. At the time, loads of zed driving cyclists came out to have their say on this topic, and in an attempted defence of the general disregard that they have for other road users. They got quite heated about it.

Don't know where they have all gone now.............

Probably all dead from being bellends on the mode of transport usually reserved for little kids

Well your using comments usually reserved for teenagers! :P

.

In the UK there is no such thing as Road Tax! There is vehicle license duty based on your vehicles emissions, but it never goes into road upkeep! So on that train of thought, cycles would be as exempt as electric cars are.

As a keen cyclist & a Z4M coupe owner. I've seen some rubbish cycling and some shite drivers too!
