PDC Problem

Been a while since I've posted so hello everyone.

My parking sensors are not sounding when reversing.
I've searched on here for this problem and found advice on making sure the sensors are working by listening to each one whilst someone has the car in reverse and they all seem to be working fine, can hear them clicking and they vibrate slightly. Also I've checked that the connection to the speaker under the drivers footwell hasn't worked itself loose at all.....I'm now at a loss...........anyone else experienced this? Wondering if it's a software glitch or something maybe...

If you can hear them all clicking equally then could be a loose connection (other than the wire to the speaker). Or as you say, possibly software.

Try putting on reverse taking out of reverse a few times with something behind you.

I've had intermittent activity on PDC before and sometimes if you simply re-engage reverse a few times it can work; although that's obviously not a long term solution.

When one of the sensors on my M3 failed it was still clicking away happily like the other 3 so the test you've already carried out is by no means foolproof. The position of the faulty sensor was located via BMW computer. A new sensor is the most probable solution.

But I thought you got a long tone on engaging reverse to alert you to a problem with a sensor? Or is this not always the case? As I get no sound at all
