PDC beep when reverse selected - option?

I was fairly sure that the car could be programmed to beep once when PDC was activated (by the driver selecting reverse gear)

Is that correct? The dealers don't seem to know :( and I they have my owners manual in the car atm.
 
Not heard of that being an option. I had my car set to beep when the alarm is set/unset remote closing of roof etc but that wasn't an option that was mentioned.
 
Yes it can - i got the dealer to switch it on a couple of weeks after picking it up as my old car used to and it was unnerving me that the Z didnt! They didnt charge me me for this or activating the dual unlocking system.
