Passenger side window regulator (E85)

JINGLE

Senior member
My passenger side window is playing up so ideally I want to get a replacement 1st (working or broken) so I can repair it 1st and then just swap over rather than removing mine and repairing it all at the same time.

Thanks in advance :)

I’ve got one Jingle on a car I got for parts.
All working and I’ll send you a pic tomorrow.

Is this what we have come to? Buying entire cars for spares
You may laugh, but now is the time to start thinking about this.
I was running Ford Capris for nearly 30 years and we really missed the boat with them. Suddenly one day parts weren't available any more.
I reckon anyone intending to keep their Z4 long term should be considering picking up a few spares if and when they can.
It has to be said that Forum life is much more advanced than it was back when I had Capris, so there's much better chances of finding what you need.
Maybe one day we'll have to build up a library of spares and who has them.

Yeah you're not wrong, once the last part runs have been done it's a one way trip down the river.

Maybe the first step would be identifying which parts are exclusive to the models. Z4 Forum could become the biggest distributed scrappy in the country

Well I think in a small way it's already starting. Barry (Umfaan) is breaking and selling to forum members at excellent prices. Street is happy to sell on parts of his. Bigwinn and I are kind of keeping in touch and swapping spares if we need them.
I know not everyone wants to do this, or indeed would have the space to store bits, but as long as those people know they have a good chance of finding stuff either on, or via the forum.
As an example, I needed a driver's door latch assembly. Barry advertised the complete set, both sides. So I got the lot and the bits I don't need yet can go into my stock cupboard. If my tinkering continues I'm pretty certain to need the bits at some point.

Here’s the regulator fresh out. I’ll leave the motor on for you in case you need it.

Also some pics of the zombie Zed with its eyes gouged out if anyone can see something they need :)

Legend!

I’ll take it as it’s much easier than buying the repair kit and taking it all out and repairing it all in 1 go like I did on the drivers side a few years back!

I’ll send you a PM now with my address and let me know your PayPal
