I am selling a by pass sensor for a pre face lift . It will let you bypass the seat sensor if it fails and means you will not have to get the light turned out by BMW if your mat fails. £25
I had it in mine but have sold the car now
Thanks for looking

i might have this off you, going to get mine reset on wednesday so will find out then what the problem is

You would be better putting in the sensor first as if you get the fault up again you will have to get a reset again at more expense but if you put it in now only one reset

do you need to have the seat belt plugged in to stop the alarm going off?

i've got a mate who can reset it for me so doesn't cost me anything will see what code is thrown up on wednesday if you don't mind waiting

just had airbag light reset and was only 1 code of low voltage all seems ok now so will not need this cheers

Gookah, my seatbelt has to be plugged in to stop the chime going off, but I don't have any warning light on my dashboard. Does that mean my mat has gone to heaven or would it be something else?

If it is your drivers seat, then that is normal.
If it is your passenger seat, then it sounds like you have a bypass fitted that fools the circuit into thinking the seat is always occupied, hence the need to 'put a seat belt on'
This type of bypass is safer, as it means the passenger airbag will always deploy,
It is much better than fooling the circuit to think the passenger seat is always empty, as your passenger wont have any protection in a crash, as that airbag will always be disabled.

£25? You can't source it new on eBay for a fraction of that. :?

...but firstly, a little rant... so please do not go and make negative comments that ruin the ad or say that you think it's over priced, which I have seen happen before on this forum. If you don't like it, don't buy it...

I knew someone would come back with that, but mine was more of question as I don't understand why his seems more expensive that what I have found new.
Also, would you not question someone who would sell their zed for more than it cost new? :P
