Passenger footwell wet

Team forum, can you all remind me the likely causes of the passenger footwell being wet?

Assuming a blocked drain hole or leaky door seal, but would welcome collective mind advice.

Was both of those in the current project

Front scuttle was similar to a ploughed field and more holes in the door seal than Swiss cheese

This might be worth a try. It seems to have done the trick in my case:

One I havent seem mentioned before is whether or not its water or roof hyraulic fluid leaking from the motor. I never get my car wet yet it feels wet/oily under the carpet behind the seat and the roof hydraulic fluid seems to have dropped following the motor being repositioned into the boot.

Another door membrane for me, sat in the car when it was raining figured it out for me! Door card off and found this.

Spent today resealing mine

Deffo worth a look no surprises why water was getting in

What’s the deal with door cards and airbags? Battery off for 30 mins first, or not and issue just crack on?

I just had the ignition off, probably take advice from someone who thinks things through more :D

Worth giving it 20 mins just for piece of mind. Key thing is to not reconnect/power on with any airbag disconnected or you'll get a light on which is a pain to reset.
