Passenger door stuck.

Last night went to pick up my gf and once i got there and unlocked the doors to let her in the passenger door would not shut!
After a few times trying to get it closed it did. Now its shut closed !
It will not budge! Locked and unlocked the car a few times either with the remote or manually with the key but with no result.
has this happened to anyone else? i will try to open the door panel today for a visual inspection.

Hoping this is just a faulty lock.

I had this problem on my 3 Series but due to cold weather conditions..any luck??

I visited the local dealer and said that the lock is probably stuck.

I managed to open the door, by luck, and opened the door panel and sprayed plenty of DW40. So far so good.
Hoping this will solve the problem.

Did you mean WD40? Should use lithium grease (white grease) to lubricate.

Ooops my disslexia just kicked in! Yup meant WD-40.

I used PTFE spray on the locks (like WD40 but I prefer it), always found lithium grease to be rather messy and gungy.

I SQUIRT A LITTLE BIT OF WD40 EVERY 6 MONTHS OR SO INTO THE KEYHOLES, ALSO ON THE HOOD LATCH AND TRUNK LATCH TO PREVENT THEM FROM HOPEFULLY SEIZING UP AND HAVING TO TAKE ANYTHING APART. IT'S WORKED SO FAR ON ALL THE CARS I'VE OWNED OLDER ,AND NEWER.
