HI I have a passenger door leak coming in low down towards the front when it rains. I have searched on here and found membrane could be the problem.I suspect something else though. When routing wires from aftermarket stereo and amp I damaged the front speaker cover trim which is down in the passenger footwell (broke lug for screw fixing) .I have new trim on back order.
The question is could this loose piece of trim cause the door not to seal properly and leak. The trim is held on by one screw below door and two push in plastic fastners.
If this leak is a drainage problem could some ome kindly link the procedure for clearing the seal drainage channels. I have not looked at the membrane yet. Waiting for this trim first. The water seems to be running down front of door seal and finding its way to the inside of car.
