Parts ordered :)

now we seem to be getting some decent weather it's time to sort out the Z4, new battery went in today nice and easy which has filled me with probably too much confidence and I've gone and ordered parts for some diy I'm probably not cut out for

CCV is shagged getting a bit of smoke so got a new one of them along with new hoses, read a guide on an e46 forum that makes it look easy so I'll probably make a right mess of it and ruin the car.

Also have a bit of a rattle developed over the winter so guessing disa valve watched a YouTube that made that repair look easy so ordered the aluminium rebuild kit....

Also they had an offer on for vanos seals if bought with the disa kit so bought them but as soon as I did got a feeling that it's a terrible idea me messing with that :?

Also considering a seafoam type engine flush but not decided if it's worth it. May wait til just before service is due for that

Anyone done any of these DIY and gave any advice or hints what tools I'll need etc, still a good chance I'll do the disa bottle the rest and call my mate to see if I can book it into his garage

Given the condition of the DISA valve in my car, I just went for a brand new valve to rule out any potential future issues and have resorted to monitoring it to see if a rebuild is needed at any point.

CCV hoses needs plenty of time to do so ensure you add a few hours to what is the estimated time on any online guides. Not a difficult procedure though.

Not gone any further with looking at seafoam or any car engine equivalent but i've also resorted to overservicing the car to help things out.

Aside from a basic tool kit, you don't need anything else. Halfords have those specials for around £100-£120 which is a pretty comprehensive kit.
