Partition Door Compartment to access the boot - Help finding it

Hello there,

I have been looking around without success, and am still looking for the following below.



I cannot find its part number, which makes me think it might come with the whole bulkhead. However I have seen both bulkhead types WITHOUT this door to access the boot (i.e., those without the holes for the subs and those with the holes for the subs)
I am asking as I am currently doing the following here https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=142056
So I thought if I ever want to do this, now is the time.

I am currently looking for part 3, 2 and 4 as I want to fit the tray compartment thing here. But I still need the door above to open it which is not listed in the pic below which I found on the realOEM.



any help would be appreciated.

That bit is part of the bulkhead trim panel. If you look in realoem its part number 3 under vehicle trim, interior equipment upper. This trim panel came with or without that door depending on the options chosen when the car was built, so you will need to look for the complete trim panel with the door, part number 51469171841 I think for the trim with the door and the speaker cutouts and grills for the subs. Or part number 51469171844 with just the door.

Just looking at the above pictogram, I think probably you will need to replace part number 20 / 21 as well or somehow modify the one you have.

thanks for letting me know about the bulkhead coming with this door from stock (or not).
if you see my post about the 676 retrofitting, I have made the cut out in my bulkhead since I am unwilling to spend £200 for one. But I have been lucky enough to have found someone sending that tiny door for £30. YAY.
re: part 20 and 21

I have part 20 (it is either one or the other); my hot blade will work just good on it.

I will look for parts 2,3 and 4 from the other pictures.

Yep I did the same on mine to install some subs, the speaker cut out marks are on the back of that trim panel.

Hello Dave, Thanks a lot. I am still waiting the main inner door to fit on the bulkhead. I will wait for this to get delivered. If it gets delivered as you never now with deliveries, especially from abroad.
Also because this is rare to find and it all revolves around that door, else no point to buy the others. As soon as I get it by all means I will need that you have. I found the frame which goes in between, ie part 4.

The seller I found is unable to deliver it to the UK, oh dear!
if I do not find the door there is not much point in buying the rest of the parts. Anyone knows someone selling this front interior door?

OK, so firstly, if he can't deliver it to the UK (read "can't be bothered"!!) where is he located? Could it be possible to have it shipped to another member who lives closer and then re-shipped to you?

So I'm assuming that's the cabin side door assembly?
In that case you still need items 1, 2*, 3* and 4#

That's a real shame if it doesn't get delivered now.

Yep I think you are right there, as it defo looks like you won't need one, u less you want golf clubs or skis in there. I was taking the pictogram literally, thinking that was the direct order but obviously it isn't.
Alas these bits only come up from time-to-time. I've seen a couple of the interior full trims with the door pop up before, but I've not seen the inner section nor the shelf unit. It depends how much you want the pass-through/shelf, if I was doing it (and like I did with the iDrive retrofit) I'd buy the bits as and when i found them, because if you wait you may not then find the others, but that's my way of looking at it.

As for 2 & 3, call it £60 and I'll post them to you

So this provides some extra storage shelves for small items once you open the passenger side door, with the option to access the whole boot if the boot side door is opened ?

That’s really useful given the relatively poor storage the E89:has as standard…..

the people in poland are waiting for the bulkhead to come back to them as they claim it s being held by the customs, they said they can deliver to italy, where I have some family and I am going there this month so if they deliver it there for me, I will let you know about the parts you have for buying.

We were abroad to work and squeeze some time to do this. We received the compartment door in Italy as if you remember they couldnt deliver to England. This was for the white z4 and we fitted it. Since I had to butcher out the bulkhead in this car again, I also took the change to add here the rear central speaker. This z4 already has the s676 so it already has the central front speaker, so I made a Y section from the input it received and connected the rear speaker + tweeter. They are sharing the input. It is good, love the sound from behind.

we still need the the trays for the silver z4 though, how much were the parts you have?
