well after nearly 6 months of Z ownership i'm thinking of selling, although i've not had any major issues apart from the wipers not working as they should, which are now fixed and water ingress in the passenger footwell, which is getting looked at tomorrow, i don't think the car is for me, i love the way it drives and the 2.5 engine with the auto box is fantastic but i can't seem to get on with it, if you know what i mean, i can never get the seating/steering wheel position exactly how i like it and the fact i have a dodgy back caused by motorcycle accidents a few years ago makes getting in and out awkward on occasions. i shall give it some more thought but i keep looking at 330 coupe's and 530i sports so a change may well be on the cards, will update in the near future. :(
 
While its a shame... a low slung 2 seater cant be doing your back any favours.

A 335D or 535D would be my choice :thumbsup:
 
I've had two slipped discs in recent years so know exactly what you mean. I sold my e85 only because I couldn't get on with the ride quality. The e89 is so much more comfortable while giving me some of the e85's fun. I have to admit though, there are still some days its a pain to get in and out of and I can see myself looking at something that rides higher in a few years time (perhaps that 4 series coupe will be a touch higher to get in and out of? please let that be so)...
 
I enjoy my Z, but have to admit my 535 is much more comfortable, especially on a run. Not just the ride, but the seats. I think my Z sports seats were designed for someone with no shoulders and no taller than 5'6".
 
This morning I drove the Z for the 1st time in 5 days, (walk to work) sport button on DSC partly off, what joy! It's gonna be hard to part with, maybe I should think again, hmmmmm........
 
ive seen some truely wonderful (or is it amazing) results with either a 335d or 535d being tuned, i cant remember. anyway the thing was phenomenal. i dont think it was much more than a massive remap done at a specialist on a rolling road, its more than one of those bolt on super chip boxe type things. if i can find the post of the westfield forum about it ill put up a link.
 
I don't keep the Z for the ride comfort or the sports seats ( these are the only 2 faults i have with it )

i keep it for its the looks , style , quality feel , german engineered , interior layout & of course the 3.0 24v ,265BHP performance on ford focus budget "

i look at my coupe now at 7 yrs old & honestly believe they will become something of a collectors classic in the future :thumbsup:
 
I can see where your coming from mr Wilks, it brings a smile to my face every time I drive it, even with a paddling pool in the passenger footwell. Maybe I could get a cheap shed to use on a daily basis and keep the Z for pleasure.
