hi i hope you are well.

im looking to get a parrot system - i want to be able to connect my galaxy note 2 to my z4 (2005) which has the carver stereo so i can play music direct from the phone and also make calls. i was looking at the MKi9000 - but having read a few threads here im a bit concerned - can someone let me know if:

1) the MKi9000 actually uses the cars stereo amp and not a built in amp
2) what the convertor is to be able to use the steering wheel buttons to control volume etc.

Not sure on the way that it would need to be fitted but traditionally parrot kits are fitted in between the stereo and the rest of the system (i.e amps etc) with the correct SOT lead (sound on top)

Cant comment on the quality either.

The unit is the Parrot unika

i had the unika, personally i would not bother with it again, if i recall i did not have a great amount of control over the parrot

i disconected at some point cos i was having issues, never got round to reconnecting it

whats wrong with the controller out of interest? It's pretty small and discrete

Great. Tricky to install? Halford s charge 30 quid which is a bargain but not sure I trust them with my baby...

Still a bit concerned about the delivery of music. Anybody got one of these installed with a carver stereo?
