Parrot 9200 to Business HU

I know there are a number of threads but I cant find a definitive answer . I'm looking at getting a parrot 9200 fitted for bluetooth phone but also media playback..but it looks like it will use its own internal amp rather than the headunits to play music which I suspect will mean it sounds even worse than the standard Business HU, is this the case when fitted to a z4 with Business HU? i'e there is no "line in" option? that means the HU amplifies?

alternatively am i better getting a dice medialink these sound really good functionally but there are so many complaints an problems it puts me off

any advice appreciated

i dont know the specific answer to your question but

last week i installed a parrot in my disco, which i was very happy with, apart from a feedback noise through the speakers, it turns out that the parrot has a small amp built in and i needed a different cable to reduce its effect going into the harmon kardon system, and that sounds a little bit like what you describe. I fitted it and am very pleased with the results.

I can tell you that the parrot sounds brilliant either as a bluetooth audio or phone or from a hard drive - very impressive.

I am having the dension kit fitted to the zed on monday by my local hifi chap - im not confident of my abilities to fit it in the zed (the landrover dashboard has huge gaps for cables)

I have heard good and bad about both systems but the parrot sounds great in the zed and i would have fitted it in the zed but i didnt want another display unit

thanks Chris, i'm not overly keen on another display either but figured it would be better for browsing mp3's etc, be interested to know how you get on with the Denison (is it a 500?) as that could be another option.

not sure if Dice is better or worse then Denison, they all seem to have issues

Hi I am going for the gateway lite bt http://www.dension.com/product/gateway-lite-bt-gbl3xxx

it will bluetooth music and phone and display basic information on the existing radio

Im not overly bothered about the display as i will mostly be using the bluetooth for audio and you can just use the menu controls of the device

i wll probably get a fast access 16gb drive just as a spare, it seems that most of the issues reported are around firmware updates and time delays and a usb drive shouldn't be subject to those issues

then its a mild update to the sound with some active subs
