Parking woes - rant

Last night I parked the zed in the parking section opposite my mums house as it was out of control hours and this morning when I went to the car, an angry woman came and started shouting at me. "Is this your car? Do you have a permit?" I said I don't need a permit for the weekend as it's not controlled hours. Then she started blaming me for her a getting a parking ticket on a Saturday because of "people like me who don't live here taking the bays."
After more shouting at me to get a permit, she stormed off to her red punto parked on a double yellow at the start of the T road (near the back of a police station). I always see her parked on a double yellow and it's hardly my fault it she chose to park in the wrong place and suffered the consequences. The bays are not exclusive for residents permit holders after 5:30 and on the weekends and its a first come basis. What an idiot to still park in the wrong area after already getting a ticket when there are more bays on nearby roads. I seriously don't understand how some people lack basic logical reasoning?

Although I'm a bit worried that people like her might try to vandalise my zed next time...as I'm staying here for a couple of weeks.
 
You were an easy target for her to vent at, obviously it wasn't your fault that she got a ticket :headbang:

I'm sure your car will be alright, I doubt that she would do anything after facing you.
 
mindless imbeciles, that's all they are.

the missus' friend dropped her off down my road last night. as it happened, her friend pulled up further up the road, outside someones house but not on a dropped kerb.

some bloke came out, telling her she can't park there and my other half asked why, he said it's his space and he'll ''do your car in''.

funnily enough, her car was left on the road all night and it hadn't been touched.

these people make silly threats in front of their friends, then crap their pants. also, does he think i'd wonder who the hell caused any damage? he's already threatened to do it, so i'd be straight onto the police. what an idiot.

in your case, i'd tell the women to accept responsibility for her own actions, and to read signs. she won't touch your car, don't worry.
 
haha, why is it we all get so defensive over parking?

I see her point....it must be infuriating to have those damn peasants come along and abide by the law and have the cheek to FORCE her to park on double yellow lines. I think you should pay her fine!!!!!

(actually, I'd have cowered cos I'm a pussy, but on an internet forum I'm hard as nails!!!).

Parking is the human equivalent to dogs peeing to mark their territory!

At the end of the day, if you weren't doing anything wrong, she can go get stuffed!
 
...it's happening all over the country, too many cars too few parking spaces, everyone losses except the council.

As long as it's not designated parking and you haven't parked in her space then not your fault.

btw, was she hot? love a hot angry woman :D
 
Thanks guys...I don't know why I let idiots get to me. I would've said to her it's her own fault but she left. Also she should be grateful the number of times she's gotten away with illegal parking!
I'm going to continue to park there legally whenever I can. :)
 
Annoying thing is that I have actually applied for a permit and they're still 'processing a bag log' for a month now. So by the time it comes I'll be moving to the north next month anyway.

Tbh I think if I had been a tougher looking bloke she wouldn't have been so rude. Next time maybe I should park in the middle of the bay and this block the spaces in front and behind too. ;) would make a change from my usual considerate edge of the bay parking.
 
She was just venting... I had a strange experience in tesco a few weeks back...

Parked in one of the massive child bays... And as soon as a open my door some woman come storming at me from behind complaining she has no space and i shouldnt park there (i literally just found the spot)

At that point i opened my passenger door to my niece in her child seat... Which soon shut her up :lol:

I think it's getting one of the biggest "issues" in the UK.... everyone seems to be getting more and more bothered and worked up about parking...

A few years back, I moved into a house and because I wanted my cars to be a little safer, built a driveway...

Well, one of my neighbours took real offence to this, and decided to keep parking his car right in front of it, blocking access, as "he had always parked there"...

A few nice, polite chats done nothing.... I got the police involved and he stopped for a few days, then back to normal....

In the end, the last time he parked up, I got the Jeep out and dragged his car down the road and dumped in in the middle of a field*.

He never did it again.

Once many years ago we had family visitors around... And one person parked infront on my parents drive.

The twat neighbour called the police and they got a parking ticket!!!

Its not a yellow line, but was blocking our own slope!
