thats how i tend park when i go to waitrose :D or anywhere that i can get such a spot. Nothing wrong with that although i do worry some fecker will say ive parked on a pedestrian bit.

Ah this isn't pedestrian, its a 'don't park here' thing as people have (before this was painted) parked to the right of my car, which is actually the entrance road, blocking access to the entire store! I only park a few inches into it which leaves a big space on the other side.

I was watching a video of these fandangled self parking cars.
No thanks. They may park 'perfectly' but they don't deploy defensive parking manoeuvre's.
They can keep their technology on that, thanks.

by the looks of the car park its not that busy + it not a public car park so i see no problem parking as you do

Look in the back of the cars you park next to. If there are kiddie seats in there move your car as either the kids will be careless or the fat arsed parents will when leaning in to buckle them up.

Personally I think that if you park across spaces you are opening yourself up for abuse. There are people in this world who would deliberately key it because of how you have parked.

Much better to park properly but in carefully calculated positions IMHO.

The local sainsbury's in North Cheam, has Extra Wide space in the upstairs car park at the far end, away from all the chavs. Not that I'd shop there very often. Now if only waitrose would do it. Speaking of waitrose had an incident in one recently where as I was getting back to my car a lady in red TT was inspecting by door having hit it with her's. I inspected it, fortunately no damage at all and said goodby, only for he mate to then say to her friend "I wouldn't worry too much, he'll only hit your door when he gets in anyway"........
