Pairing Nokia

When renewing my mobile phone contract I was sent two phones whih didn't work, then sold one which turned out to be 'orrible, so went back to using my Nokia 6233. Pretty old now, it's about to die so thought I'd buy a 6300 - nice straightforward phone.

BMW website isn't terribly helpful re compatibility http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/bluetooth/compatibility/0,,1312___sit-bmwuk%40dht-aHR0cDovL3d3dy5iYXllcmlzY2hlYm13Lm5ld2RvbG4ubmV0,00.html so I wondered if anyone had paired one with their Z4 and whether it downloaded the address book.

Maybe BMW should do something like the Audi site, v helpful http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2/new_cars/Technology/electronics/communication/mobile_phone_database.html

Grateful for your thoughts. Cheers

Nick

I recently bought a 6300 as it's a decent enough phone and stays in the cradle in the car, never coming out. Just transfer calls from my main phone to the nokia whenever I'm in the car. But to answer your question it took minutes to pair the phone to the car and yes, the phone book was transfered across. In fact it was BMW who advised me that said phone is the most popular with BMW owners and one that works best with bluetooth.

Great, thanks, hopefully it'll work on my earlier car's software.

I'll look out for you when I'm in Lulworth later in the year :D

Cheers

Give me an email letting me know when your in the area and we can me meet up, there are some cracking pubs in the area. Perhaps even show you around the gunnery school and if interested watch some armoured fighting vehicles turning tax payers money into empty cases.
