anybody know how to connect my iphone because im stumped?

thanks

also... does anybody want to buy a megane R26? lol

Hey Dean! Welcome!

I think you have to do something with the ignition. If you browse the how to guides you'll find a link to the manual, which details the process

thanks, just had a read of it but it keeps referring to the pairing button which i dont have :(

Have you tried using the button on the steering wheel for the pairing (one that looks like a face in profile with speech lines) as referenced on p7 of the guide - it states " the send/receive or pairing button, which must be depressed to activate the pairing procedure between the phone and the control module"?

i dont have steering controls unfortunately :( think i may have to call the previous owner and ask which i really didnt want to do lol

I also have no pairing button. The face button on steering is not a pairing button. I discovered how to pair by accident. I have a facelift car, this may not apply to your version, but it's worth a try.

Start with car off, key in ignition. Locate on your phone the command to search for a device to pair with, but do not initiate yet.

Turn the ignition on, but don't start the car. This is the position where all the trouble lights go on. Start your phone searching. This is where the car normally looks for any devices it has already paired with. It also seems to be open to new requests at this time.

If all goes well, your phone will ask you to enter the car's passkey, do so. I do not recall if there is a confirmation. In any case, turn the key to full off. Wait at least 30 seconds, then turn ignition back on. The phone and car should connect. It may take a while to transfer the phone's directory.

I forget if it's this connection or the next one, but your phone should ask if you always want to automatically connect to BMW ????. You probably would like to answer yes.

Hope this works for you, good luck!

Thanks I shall go and try this in a bit. I hope it works :D
If you are still having problems treat the large button which also ejects the cradle as the pairing button (with the white small insert with a bluetooth symbol on it )
OK I have the F/L but I followed the car manual to the tee and it all worked and I used the"eject button as above
Also checked mine and your pic is identical to my set up

Thanks alot guys it is now paired...
Now the next problem lol. I can't get it to connect, it just says not connected on the iPhone... What do I do now? Thanks!

Try clearing all pairings on car and start afresh with your phone
and all the confusion may have arisen from the fact you have an iPhone 4S cradle which at some stage will have required a new eject box which may be different to the
original eject box ( I can't remember and I sold it to another forum member so can't check) .My set up is identical to yours as I also have the later eject box

Sorry but how do you clear the pairings?

And yes I have a previous Nokia cradle which came from the car and that did have a pairing button.

Thanks for help :)

pm me and I 'll send a pdf from comms booklet

ps cradle is the bit that fits into the eject box that is the bit with the braided wires coming out back
iPhone was too wide for the old style so when you use an iPhone cradle it required a new wider eject box which is what you have
and it does not look like the manual pics of the OEM setup
