pairing iPhone 3gs with BMW Bluetooth on the Z4 coupe

Hi all
Have tried pairing my 3gs iphone and it seems to work but the nav screen just displays "PLEASE WAIT" for ages and it does not seem to say pairing succeeded!

Has anyone managed to pair the 3gs with the Z4 (2007 build)
 
Mine works fine on a 2006, and the contact database loads instantly /(used to take a few seconds with a Blackberry)...

Sounds stupid but is Bluetooth active on the phone? Try the good old turning it off and on again while the car is on...
 
Also ensure your phone is set to the Zed connection being a 'trusted' device. Not sure of the specifics of an iphone but that's the terminolgy on Blackberries
 
Hmmm - okay wierd! I remember a while ago I had to add about 2000 extra contacts on the phone to get it to work. Does yours have all these extra Z contacts or just your normal contacts list?

Did you get the PLEASE WAIT! screen displayed?
 
sure I read somewhere that if you pair just the favourites it'll work just fine?

not got an iPhone though so cant test...
