Painting Silver bits Black / Gun metal?

Just had some gun metal wheels added and now have the bug to modify! I think I've been inspired by some cars I've seen over time on here but in addition to lowering I'm also considering getting the roof painted gloss black or even a darker grey to match the gun metal? May need to get rear window tinted to complete the look...

Really not sure, any thoughts (positive and negative welcome 8) )

I think the black roof looks good,i was thinking of doing mine but in vinyl...

Not sure on the front lip, looks like the bumper is "unfinished"...

Black grills always look good on our colour IMHO..

Personally I think tint the rear and rear quarters looks great.

Black roof looks good, but may limit your buyers when you come to sell.

And I dont really like the black front bit.

yes to it all.

but why not get it wrapped? At least its reversible if you don't like it!

Yeah I'm certainly tempted to do the roof. I think I was considering a paint job to avoid any bubbling, scratching/marking issues that a few people have reported. It also means I can polish it in an attempt to connect the front & rear glass (cosmetically).

Having said that I've not researched vinyl / wrapping options a great deal. Perhaps this could be achieved anyway.

It's a good point about affecting ability to sell on the car, thats certainly one advantage of vinyl!!

Not sure about the bumper myself...

Personally i'm against wrapping for the detailing reasons...more so when its carbon fibre print used.

But resale is one point that would make the wrap a no brainer for me if I were in your position.

I thought you could pretty much treat the vinyl wrap like paintwork,in that you can apply polish and wax..?

Trailz4, your wheels look immense. What, where, and how much?!

If you want a darker highlight to the front, you could consider fitting a splitter - easily removable if you want to sell. Here's a link to another thread about splitters: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=38600

I think you fellas may be on to something... for once I might not rush into a decision and research instead

Cheers teeps. Wheels are from BM Autosport, thread with more info here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=51736

I had a look at those splitters from Poland, they're sweet but just not quite the look I'm after. I read someone has a clio cup splitter but not seen any photos as yet, would be interesting!
