Painted Brake Calipers - Golden - Updated Pics

I would have mine coloured but I wonder how the mechanics treat them in the dealerships?
My car has to go in - even for mundane tasks like pads and I don't think painted bits and bobs would be shown any respect.

I'm going to paint my calipers this week I got a white car so not sure to go for silver anybody gone different on a white Z4

If you go silver I can recommend Plasticote Chrome spray paint.
Very shiny to start but will dull down after a while.
Also stays shiny on the disc hubs.
I found ordinary silver paint went dark too soon and needed re-spraying.
Also the rear callipers are steel so will need several coats to keep the rust from breaking through.

There is quite a useful colour guide tool here, Select your car colour, some various alloy styles and 18 different caliper colours.
Gives you a good idea of the result and takes the guess work out of it a little

Painting the calipers is the next step on my very slow and cautious journey aimed at doing more of my own maintenance on the Zed. Gold is now a strong contender. It's not going to be done until the weather warms up a bit!
