evening,I'm gonna be upgrading my brakes to pagid rs29's on the front with new discs as well.regarding the rear should i match the rear with the same pads or do the originals do???
 
As long as you don't do it the other way round you'll be fine. Ideally of course you'd do the lot, but in any case it's far better (safer!) to have more brake performance on the front than the rear.
Great brake pads btw, expensive but worth it, last ages, stop superbly.

thanks tom just wanted some reassurance really.might still do the rears just didn't fancy replacing the rear discs as well.

You don't necessarily need to replace the discs if you are changing the pads, even with the different compound. It would be nice to, but assuming there's life left in them then just crack on and change the pads if they are looking low, otherwise just wait.

What sort of mileage do discs generally last for the car is on 47k now.they don't look to bad at all

Purely motorway work you'll probably get 60,000 miles out of a set of discs.

Add in some track days and weekend hoons then down to about 40k miles (that's what I'm getting).
 
I'm looking for some uprated pads. I saw these and it sparked some interest..... and then I saw the price! I would hope they are amazing for that money.

They are amazing! I have them on the front and rear. I have tried pretty much every performance pad available and nothing really comes close to these.

There are trade offs though. 1. They are very expensive. 2. They are extremely noisy. They squeal like a pig during day to day driving and they rattle about inside the carrier over bumpy surfaces.

I have removed them for everyday driving and will only use them when I have a trackday organised.

If you don't change the rears as well then you're changing the brake balance. The Pagid pads have a higher coefficient of friction than oem.
 
Running ds2500
Great pads 2 pumps on a stop from cold and they're on it:)

Dusty though if heavy
Do squeal but give them a good few pedal pushes and fine:)
