Paddle shift rewire to left downshift right upshift

]I'd like to change the E86 paddles shift action from the standard upchange (fingers behind ie pull)/downchange(thumb on top ie push) to left downchange and right upchange. I've read somewhere that it's a question of reqiring and hopefully that could simply mean interfering with the 2 plugs in the connector at the top. I can't find a thread specific to the E85/86 auto though. Any suggestions?

Some pics here but you may need more, especially around the cabling behind the wheel or that of the remote control buttons or the paddles, more than happy to take more but hoping someone has already done this and has an easy solution.

I'm very surprised to hear someone wanting to do this? I find the Z4's push/pull down/up paddle shifts worlds above the VAG DSG paddles that I've been used to!
 
Anyone figured this out yet? Four wires going into the left switch/pcb. If I had a wiring diagram I’m sure I could figure this out
