8 x 18 (et 40)
8 x 18 (et 34)
9 x 18 (et 40)

What would be the best choice for front and rear rims?

Could you please also advise on the tyre sizes for front and rear?

The Ultraleggera, especially the Ultraleggera HLT is a very light wheel so even if you put a 19" your engine still will not be overloaded, but the visual effect will be different.
I now own Ac Schnitzer wheels also 19", and I'm planning to get rid off the Ultraleggera HLT which are 19" x 8,5" and were produced in Italy (between last few models produced in Italy)...about year ago they transfer production in China! I've passed just about 3000 km whit them. If you would like to buy them I'll give'm for 1100 Euro!
This is what Zed looks like whit OZ Ultraleggera HLT 19"x8,5" plus pirelli p zero nero 225/35 front & 255/30 rear.

On 18s stick with the standard tyre sizes

225/40 18
255/35 18

But decio's offer looks like a good one :)
 
Unfortunately due to Malta's roads which are in a disastrous state, I cannot afford to put 19's on. Although I must say that the Ultraleggera's on that Z4 look amazing.

And what about the offset if i go for 18".

8" front and 9" rear?

The following opinion is based on the fact I am assuming the offsets on the facelift cars is the same as pre facelift.

I presume you don't have a choice of offset on the rear so a 9'' wheel with a 40 offset would position the rears 16mm further out.
A 34 offset on the front would put the fronts 13mm further out and a 40mm would put them 7mm further out so to position front and rears out by a similar amount the 8'' with a 34 offset would look better in my humble opinion.
In all honesty either would be ok.

I don't know anything about these wheels but I would want to check the fitment for your car ie. the pcd is 5x120 and the bore is 72.6mm
