Hi all new owner here,
I picked up my new Z4 2.5 last Saturday I'd been looking for a new toy for a few weeks and after looking at a few 350Z's an S2000 and a SLK350 I went to see this 2004 2.5 Z4 and it was clearly the car I was after.
I'm not one to buy a car and drive it I like to make my cars mechanically sound and then change the look to my taste and I don't hang about.
Here's a few pictures of how it looked last Saturday:

First job I carried out Saturday afternoon was to machine polish the paint and Fabilsil the roof and clear the roof compartment drains

Next job was Monday afternoon when I had my paintless dent guy out to fix all the body dings of which he found 18:

Tuesday I received the new boot spoiler which I quickly test fitted:

Wednesday my new Smart Top roof module turn up which I set up and wired in very simple and works great I can now operate the roof off the key and also one touch the buttons in the car and work the roof up to 25mph:

Then Thursday a whole load of new bits arrived
-New headlights
-New LED number plate light units
-8000K HID kit
-21W LED fog light fitment bulbs
-FK lowering springs
-Caliper paint
-New coolant expansion bottle
-New cam cover gasket
Thursday Evening I stayed late at work and fitted the lowering springs and switched out the cracked old expansion bottle and leaking cam cover gasket:

When I got home Thursday night I transformed my gym into and make shift spray room ready for today:

And got a head start and stripped the front end down:

So today I had the day booked off work so spent the day finishing the jobs on the Z4 starting with Painting the spoiler but I got no pictures of that as my phone was charging.
Next was to start the first stage of the caliper painting which was cleaning and priming them:

Next was to remove the rear lights and side repeaters to get them tint sprayed, I do this by a process of using standard car lacquer and mixing 15% standard base black then apply coats with the use of a professional spray gun till the desired effect is reached, done this way gives them a great high gloss finish but still remaining translucent so the lights still work perfectly:

Masked up and keyed up with scotch brite:

Mixing the paint:

1st light dusting:

3 coats later:

New LED number lights fitted:

New headlights fitted and set up with the new HID kit and the new eye catching caliper colour (I'm sure not to everyone's taste) Neon green:

I then fitted the new LED fog light bulbs and rewired the front fogs to run as DRL's so they come on as soon as the ignition is switched on and fitted the rear lights and side repeaters and checked and the new boot spoiler I painted first thing this morning the paint was dry so fitted that and that was the final job.
Here are a few pictures I took this evening all done:

Well sorry for the VERY long first post but I've had a busy 6 days with a lot to share.
