I tried to wire my radar detector into my overhead light of my 2006 Z4 M e85 using the blue/red (middle) wire on the overhead light plug as instructed in this video:

This was supposed to be a switched 12v lead. After connecting the detector, I initially got a low voltage warning from my detector and now I am now not getting any power to this wire regardless of ignition switch position. I have checked the tap and wires with a continuity tester and the wiring is good. Does anyone know what this wire controls and if it is fused in the fusebox and what fuse it might be? Thanks for the guidance.
