Over-specced an oil extraction pump?

I prefer to get the engine upto temperature, then jack the car and drop the sump plug, I then raise and lower the car from side to side and this gets more old oil out.

I use loads of Pela pumps at work as well as for after hours vehicle related exploits. Great bit of kit and handy for brake bleeding as well as oil changes. Tend to buy from Seamark Nunn at good prices.

I bought my 6.5l pela from machine mart, very pleased with it and works well on the M54 and S54 engines removing pretty much all the oil.

Less success on a relatives Vauxhall Astra which had a stepped sump and could only remove 2/3rds of the oil.

Good to hear u guys. Seems like a popular choice.

Which size pipe extension do pela owners use? The large or small one?

So....first job for the new pump completed - removing the fekin swimming pool 1/2 litre of water sat in the bottom of my driverside headlamp. yep, it's lookin like a xenon ballast replacement too but i'm going to see why it's accumulating so much condensation/water first.... pretty sure its not the rear cover. could be cracked housing and lettting in rain/wash water...
