Out with the old, in with the older

Decided to take a trip out on the brief dry interlude from the rain and storms to a location where I took some photos of my old 57 plate coupé in March 2008. Sold the car in 2009 after changing jobs. Succumbed
to the urge of a sports car again in August last year and ended up with the new (older) Z. Still love the Zed, and love the 3.0 engine :D As it's now a weekend car and garaged rather than a daily driver I decided
on a convertible :driving: A few more mods to the car this time. Already changed the gear knob, fitted stubby, black grilles and wheel spacers. Next will be eibach springs and probably new alloys.

I'm interested to know this too, seeing as our cars look practically identical it gives me an idea of what mine would look like.

Also with the spacer question, as i have the same wheels and I'm thinking non run flats and spacers then nice wheels next year

Great shots Phil,

We have the easy clean split rims same as your Coupe on our Convertible, I can't make my mind up which wheels look best :| Will you be selling the (OEM) wheels off the new un?

Welcome to wind in the hair motoring, looks like you have the coast on your doorstep, unlike the middle of the midlands in Middle England - look what you could have won, a speedboat in Tamworth! aka Bullseye for whose old enough to remember

Nice motor great pics as well!
What size spacers did you put on ? want to do mine not sure what size to go with really like the look of yours

Been in the same dilemma myself since I bought the car. Always loved the look of the split rim 108's. However, I had the Coupe from brand new and the wheels started corroding within 6 months :( The MV2's on the car have grown on me, but they are corroded on the inside and need a refurb. Dithering between some CSL type reps or 224's off an M, but these do not come up for sale that often.

Coast is very close, it's only the muddy end of the Bristol Channel though. Further down the coast just past Swansea is where it really starts getting nice. Gower Peninsular and then West Wales, which is absolutely gorgeous. And about 20 miles North of Cardiff is the Brecon Beacons National Park, my favourite place to thrash.......I mean carefully drive the Zed :driving:

Yes, remember Bullseye. If the speed boat is now good for Tamworth, how about a caravan to tow with the Zed
