Ordered a Part today..(now with pics pg5)

" bottle of Dom Perignon "

It will, but not by much as I have not lowered it I reckon she be alright as I think the depth is about 20/25mm max. Just a bit of a project it may not be pratical if so I remove it. I wanted to maintain an "OEM" feel and hopefully it will create that appearance :? well should have it on by the London Meet so everyone can have a good look :D

Think it will look good but you will have to watch when nosing in on a curb when parking because there.s no way that will go over, good luck anyway hope im wrong.

Just got around to fitting it (well 90%) I still need to sort the corners out but will do this with the dremel over the weekend so will update the thread again with some quality pics .

Overall am please with it, but the time I finished it was dark so quite hard to tell what the end result will be in the flesh.

These are some very basic pics, cars dirty, poor light and still unfinished. But it’s looking good so far :) so view these as a prototype as its not finished

I Keep this posted, I expect some negs but that’s the way of the world! :D

Excellent that was what I was after :D , not to look out of place but adds another dimension to the front of the car

nice! was there much trimming/ moulding required or did it just screw right on?

Well once measured up 41.5 cm is the middle point on the black grill section it pretty much screws on.

The corners are another matter I will need to dremel 2/3 small triangles to get it to bend correct and follow the line of the bumper. If am honest I reckon maybe another 15mins each side to finish it off. So pretty much anyone can do this mod with little work involved.

Self tappers is what I used , so £3.27 for these :D

I think for anyone with a black Zed it would look even better or silver / gey with black kidneys

cool! do us a favour though and take some pics in the day please, really wanna see this in more detail - great mod for such a low price.....

No problem will do once I have worked out the best soloution for the corners, I get some nice pic's up

Is that a BMW splitter?

Nah mate a Seat Leon Curpa R one so not a Bmw part, I will need to trim it down a bit but there really flexiable and it was only 42 quid gone up again these used to be 20 quid in 2008 :o
Bloody hell, Seat have realised everyone was fitting them to any car they could! I remember paying £20 for one for my Ibiza...

would be good in protecting the bumper from slopes.

There was another member - Jonny from Perth who posted this on his car a few weeks ago.

How did you attach it?

Might work well with the M fins.

No way ... I must have totally missed that thread . I have been toying with it now for a couple of months... anyone know where the thread is .. I be interested in comparing notes

As above Aquazi self tappers , this is the best method and is adopted by must users, I know the TT guys use this method as well. I have been toying with a silicone bead between the bumper and splitter ... but I think I give this a miss. I will be protecting the screws with some caps.

Cars having a big clean on the weekend so will get some pics up... between a kitchen delivery and repainting a room :headbang: , she's given me "jobs" to do

It’s really annoying about the price when they were £20 quid it was almost throw away money in playing around with them now there basically £50 quid its a few more bucks 2/3 is now £150 quid not £60. They had moved the price up again in Jan, the bloke was telling me. Best bet is direct with Seat as no delivery charge, website may show a little cheaper but the time you put delivery on it bumps it up, also a nice little main dealer invoice. Some dealer get a bit annoyed when you ask but Trevor in Reading was spot on

Looks good, nice and subtle... you should now order 20 of these, mark the perfect dremel line and prepare these and sell them to all of us people who wouldn't know how to even turn on a dremel... :)

Must be a coupe thing :poke:

I got my m rear bumper from jonny he is a top chap.

Thanks for the thread Aquazi, Altought this is simlar it not quite the same as the LCR as a bit more dimensiion which adds to the affect as it meets the lines of the Zed bumper , still looks real good. Once I get the pic's up, it will be a lot clearer in comparing them as the ones I did where a bit rubbish....

Cannot wait till tomz to have a play with it ... could be a new Mod , if anyone is interested after I post a How-to / or can ask Trevor at Seat for a group buy deal?
