Option listed but not present?

Any thoughts on this, gents...

Just typed in my VIN number into the option list finder. It's come back with;

S692A CD-Wechsler I-Bus Vorbereitung Preparation, BMW 6-CD changer I-bus

However, I don't have a 6 CD changed fitted to the car... does this mean it has the prep, but not the actual item, or has some moron removed it?

Just the prep & cable

Standard option in the UK for the preparation, not present in all countries.

The good news is you don't have to hunt down the chap who removed it

Didn't realise it wasn't standard fit for all markets though - every day is a school day.

Few other items like that. Alarm is standard fit in UK along with electric roof. USA alarm is not standard and I believe some models out there electric roof was optional.

Surely manual Z roof must be a right pain, it's not like the MX5 roof for simplicity

I think the manual roofs are a lot lighter being single skinned etc.
