OK guys currently got my 3rd E85 at 118k miles as my weekend car, spent twice the purchase price in repairs maintenance in 1 year since purchase, considering changing jobs sell or use for 10k pa mileage, what are your opinions /thought's?
You don't usually get a lot back for the money you put in. You have to think if anything else will need work in the near future, if not then surely it's best to keep the car if you are happy with the fuel economy.
If I had spent that sort of money on it I'd want to keep it for a while to get some benefit from the jobs done - so long as there isn't anything else likely to need attention for a while.
Generally always cheaper to repair then to replace.
I mean I've done 14k in mine since I bought in November. Besides the ESS kit I've chucked about 1k at it on repairs and other stupid little bits to keep it neat and in good shape and I only paid 2.2k for the shitter.
I'll never see the money on it again. May as well just wait for it to go bang or a RR goes into it.
Agree fully, need to know what you have repaired there is a chance everything likely to be a problem has been repaired. As others have said, you won't get the money you have spent back, but also if you buy another car, you may find yourself doing the same thing all over again.
Sorry for your plight Wayne but you've done me a huge favour - was thinking of painting the wheels on my black one that colour....... Agree with the others keep her!
