Hi Fellow forum chaps.

Just after some opinions on the price I've just paid for the following work

Its labour only as I supplied the parts (except for a new intake hose which was included in the total price @£22)

Both front and rear bushes (x4 pairs)
All 4 springs
4x wheel spacers
Diagnose and repair fault causing exhaust management light to show on dash (Turns out this was a split in one of the rubber air intake pipes which has now been replaced with a new one)

All in £250 all work carried out by BMW specialist

What's are people's views on this?

So basically about 4 or 5 hours work, removing all the wheels, removing and replacing all the parts, and sorting your hose ? I'm sure someone will tell you it's too much but I think it looks reasonable. Can't remember exactly how much it cost to have my springs fitted, but I think it was in the region of £170. Want me to check ? There's a fair bit of buggering about in all that, and IIRC the front springs are quite an involved job.

That looks like a bloody good price to me.

The air intake pipe replacement is fiddly as hell and probably around 30 minutes labour plus the part at £22.

Plus diagnosis and re-setting engine management light.

Can't be any less than £50 for that alone and a hell of a lot more at a main dealer.

Well thanks for the feedback.. Sorry for a late reply I've been having a little drive and check over since I got back.

The customer service I got from Lee at LB Automotive in Guildford is second to none he really knows his stuff. He took the time to explain all the work he had done and how the parts work etc and the car is now in really good order. I have peace if mind that nothing's been bodged.

I think the springs need a little time to settle but the ride is definitely improved. The spacers have made a real difference looks wise, they are 12.5mm black hub centric type, so you can't really see them through the wheels, they've just brought the wheel faces out to almost flush with the bodywork. The stance looks much meaner now.

O yeah I have two sets of 4 of the spacers for sale if anyone is interested I will let them go for £40 a set (of 4), brand new. I have one set in black, one in aluminium.

Will upload pics once she is clean..
