Only one type of coolant for the complete BMW range? *

Is it correct that the whole of the BMW car range use the exact same type of engine coolant/antifreeze? (excluding minis, police vehicles and M-sport cars)

I find this hard to believe but the local dealer assures me that it is correct.

I did some digging and found Comma G48 is an equivalent fluid that is suitable (as per the list on TIS). You can use harder tap water with the BMW stuff though.
