Not best pleased, was driving late last night, pulling away at a junction turning left in the right lane. I was the 2nd car at the lights. I must have swung out a bit too far to avoid the car on my left and clipped the curbs / traffic light island!!

Only had my car 7 weeks and this has really not pleased me at all :x as my 108's were pretty good!

You can probably see its damaged the tyre on the front too (500 mile old tyre  )

Its the same pretty much all the way around the rear.

Looks worse in the flesh than the pictures

So now my questions, im no wheel expert,

1) Can they be repaired
2) Will they need to be split to do so
3) Has the tyre had it
4) Should I just get the lot done in black with chrome lips
5) Should I repair them and also get a winter set
6) Can anyone recommend a place in West London who do a good job?

Thanks in advance

I only had my car for a few hours and bent one of my alloys, had to buy a replacement :headbang:

Use it as an excuse to get them refurbed in a different colour :) Or get a new set and sell me these (I want a set for winter)

Rohan, text me....I use a place in Northolt, they do a really really good job, half hour from you

I picked mine up and about a week later caught the edge of what I thought was a puddle on the approach to a speed bump, but turned out to a 4" deep by 4 foot round pothole, ruining a CSL wheel and 19" PS2 tyre.

Tyre insurance covered the tyre, but I had to jump through hoops to get Braintree council to cough up to the cost of the wheel replacement.

Two weeks after I put the new wheel on I took avoiding action at a roundabout in Wales where some bint decided to turn left from lane 2 into my lane. It was a choice of going into & up the kerb or getting the side of the car caved in.

Luckily that only needed a refurb - but I started looking for tyres that had a more pronounced protective rim on them.

If its only one wheel you could try and find a replacement single wheel on fleabay? Might be cheaper?

Just a thought....

It looks like they have been refurbed before as the outer rim appears to be silver along with the star and not polished and lacquered.

So a easy repair I owuld say.

They were refurb'd in 09 when the previous owner bought the car AUC.

Thanks I'll look into this with the suggestion Nick provided.

Sorry to see that mate.

I'm probably going to get mine painted so they don't corrode and touch ups like your wheels and mine need can be done cheaply.

With 108's it's cheaper to hit the other car than to refurb the wheel and replace a run flat. ;)
