One touch top open system

Not tried it. How do you know it will work on the Z4?

I and several others have various Reinhold modules one that does one touch opening and close, which means as soon as you stop, touch the button and it closes while you move off. Not quite what you have here but tried and tested on Zeds.
 
They do have Z4-specific products so maybe it was just a bad link

:o how much, I only paid £115 for both of mine delivered direct from Reinhold, I know the Euro rate isnt as good now but 325 EUR is steep.
 
Good link Mike - did not search beyond the op's link.

I'm with SR - expect to pay a lot less for Reinhold if you take the time to contact Andreas Reinhold direct and to my knowledge 10+ people on here have them fitted and all work well. (I know of 4 that I fitted or supplied as a group buy)
 
Just a general Reinhold question, do they remove the speed sensor stopping the roof up/down once rolling? Ie, I'm happy being nearly stopped to get it going up or down, but once it is going up or down will it do the full cycle irrespective of speed?

You have to come to a complete halt, pres the button and once started it will complete the up or down cycle as you drive off.
 
Have fitted the Rheinhold module - one touch open and close. Also remote open and close from the key.

No but it doesnt take much longer to come to complete stop from 15mph/25kmh and press the button then drive off.

As I said above it's a lot more money just for that, and how often will you use that feature, with the remote roof you open before you even get in, and close as you walk away, so it's only if you get caught in a downfall and how often does that happen in th UK :?
 
Correct - nor was the roof designed to withstand that treatment.

I'm sure it will work just fine but if you drive off as the air pressure increases the hydraulic motor that already struggles will not last long and the mag alloy frame won't take kindly to it. Still a new roof only a grand or so supply and fit.
