My 100 mile drive back up to work was just perfect last night, the sun was out, the evening was warm, the roof was down with the exhaust burbling away nicely. Even the traffic through London on my way towards the M40 was light and my Zed was clean and getting many admiring looks and performing flawlessly. I couldn't have asked for a better drive with the roof down the entire way.

Now that I own a proper roadster, I'm going to find it very difficult if and when I have to go back to a hard top! As far as I was concerned all was well in the world. For the first time since getting the car (my ownership has been a little fraught with one accident/some warning lights) I really, truly appreciated how fantastic these cars are! Nothing comes close for the price. After 7 months of ownership and enjoying the car, last night - those three hours - made me completely fall for this little 11 year old car..

..Until I drove the 7 miles to work this morning, when the DSC light came on and the hand brake symbol lit up orange.. Will it bloody end? :D Glad I'd had that good day yesterday evening or I'd be getting rather fed up by now! :thumbsup: :P
 
Chances are that one of the DSC sensors has failed - or is starting to - there are two of them and they have to agree within a certain range. Get the codes pulled and, assuming it's the sensor, it'll tell you which one.

This often starts as an intermittent fault and then eventually becomes permanent - replacement sensor costs around £95 from Soapers and is an easy DIY replacement as long as you have (or can borrow) a 27mm spanner

Thanks for the posts guys :) The light went off before I could get it diagnosed and there are no fault codes logged. Guess I'll hope it was just a glitch and I'll know what to do if it comes back again.

Completely agree, they're nice cars day to day, but on the right day they're just brilliant!
