^^^ i have ASSK and it does vibrate at high rpm, but I don’t find it too disturbing. I prefer a nice shifter action, but my car is already louder with stiffer suspension, remus exhaust and CSL airbox

oh mannnnn....... crazy how many don't report this .

how bad is it ? not sure i can accept that from a SSK

Not too bad to be honest, happens at about 5.5 - 6k rpms and during deceleration, is a vibration noise from the shifter, if you hold it, it quites it. Just not what you expect of a premium car, but again, the Z4M is not the most quite anyway.

stand alone ecu is easily do-able, and would be the cheaper part of this gig. Sequential would be amazing in this car, but as youve no doubt found out, the costs sky rocket! Would love to see you do this :) *BUT* am way more glad to read the zero spread part man, you had me worried there for a while.

yeah the GB was 10k...... and unfortunately the tuning with the s/C setup is just a pain in the ass ....... i adore this car, owned it for many years but the performance has put in a place where i cant afford to better it ( yet) but i feel like my times running out to enjoy some of the othe things wan to try, but very very connected to this car. Agreed on the cancer, ive got 1 more chemo left . Already booked 3 trackdays with the Zed for next year. not messing around, time to live my life abit. if / when i sell this car i feel it could be the one i deeply regret. Will PM you shortly BTW, just getting over the lastest chemo session. Please excuse my typos guys.

Be careful not to plan on selling too quick, you might find something faster or newer or more accomplished but it won't be as raw / engaging... I made that mistake once years ago and sold the car I'd spent years of graft and a lot of money on to buy something more accomplished/acclaimed call it what you like and you know what, I had it less than 12 months...

i think its an incredible platform to work with , throw in that engine its pretty damn special. A properly suspended z4 with a top end damper always blows my mind. Its well an truly scuppered my car journey , as how do i better it for a reasonable cost? ( especially if youve got a well modded one) i feel abit stuck lol! only option now is to have 1 year of non stop work , dig deep and make something dreamy happen.... i do however no its time for a change, but that doesnt mean the z4 needs to leave. First things first next year.... i need to get back to enjoying life , ive spent years building my business , time to do me abit.

I quite agree,no need to work 24/7.
Your z is very well sorted anyway.
I know alot of people reckon the standard z4m Suspension isn't as good as it can be,but I kind of like it.
That's why I am having a dilemma at what suspension I put on come the time.
As I'm looking to o refresh it/renew it completely in the coming year or so,and can't decide whether to Renew everything with BMW Parts or go to Adustable suspension/Coilovers like Bilstein or kw3.
Because,as said, I like the way it handles just now on Standard Shocks and Springs(although I feel it's probably due a refresh at over 60k miles),with a few minor upgrades ,and like the idea of keeping it reasonably standard.
I am not sure if I would get much more from it on Coilovers than I do now.

Anyway,it's been great seeing your business flourish mate, and also to see you coming out of the other side,of your recent battles with cancer .
Hopefully next year I will be back down your way,and we can get a run out in the zeds.

Take care

craig, again, thanks for all the words, support everything, none has gone unnoticed.

R.E the stock suspension i agree with you, i liked it... and had the car not morphed where it went i was very happy with it and the stock brakes ( which i felt were really good with some new pads, fluids and lines) .

The coilovers ( track biased) really did take it to another level but then, on the other side , the car becomes more and more less usable with every change, if we ever get to gt these together id love to take you out in it so you can experience the performance with sticky tyres etc. Really looking forward to getting back to the track next year, its been a long time coming.
