One coming for a change instead of going

So you're picking it up next Saturday? Have a friend coming up for beers from London but might wander over as it's abot 2mins away to see how nicely polished it is ! 8)

I heard you know the workshop guys and they're going to swap out the alloys and some other bits for you Andy before Darren collects it..........

:o Shhhhhhhhhhh !!!!

I've heard there was a mistake on the website and it's actually Black Nappa...

Yep, Sat 18th. Going out the night before but hoping to be there by 12:30 to hand mine over and collect the M.

Ha, a bunch of comedians

Not worried about the fuel economy, I`m going to replace the engine with an N52 - it`ll still be an M won`t it? Years ago I saw an E30 M3 with a diesel engine in it..........

I think you'll find when you arrive that Andy has acquired a nice engine for it from his 50cc lawnmower. Better check every inch of that car!

Looking forward to hearing about your comparison of the two Coupes.

I would never trade a car in again after selling my last two cars privately and making £££ over the offered trade-in price. You have to sometimes wait a bit longer to get a buyer but it's generally worth it for the extra cash.

I did trade-in deals on my 5 cars before the last two and would honestly never do it again unless I was somehow forced to.

Have a look at this website for a laugh and see what they would have offered you for your Coupe: www.webuyanycar.com

My mate sold his Mini Cooper in to them about 5 months ago and they gave him the same as he would have (luckily) got selling it privately. I put the details of my Coupe in and they offered more that I paid for it privately in March this year!

Then read this post re: webuyanycar......

I personally prefer trading cars in even if I lose a grand or so just as its less hassle, more convenient, and sometimes you don't do too bad (I got a very good deal for my M recently).

I'm sure folk will have good and bad experiences with any company but I can only go by the good experience my friend had with this particular company.

webuyanycar offered 17500 for mine a few weeks back which I`m sure they would of either cancelled that offer once they examined the offer, or tried to talk me down on it- even a BMW dealer will struggle to shift it at much more than that.
Sellings cars privately can be a real pain with timewasters and joyriders etc in these type of cars. YOu can save money but lots of hassle and I don`t personally have a lot of spare time to spend with potential buyers. I`ve learned before that buyers will make a low ball offer sometimes also, after they`ve test driven of course.

I`m happy with the deal. One bmw dealer offered me 13500 for mine recently but trade in against the M is much more than that! I think I might of only got another £800 privately to be honest and that would of been at a push. I already had two private offers, one the same as the dealer, the other £1000 less but neither of these were firm offers anyway, so an easy trade to the dealer is much more appealing.

UPDATED:
While a little bored I just tried the webuyanycar quote system again and it now quotes 15550 instead of the 17440 it quoted a few weeks back.

Two more days until I hand over the keys to my perfectly run-in beautifully smooth economical Z4 Coupe and pick up me nose heavy uneconomical expensive to mainain POS   :poke:

PS Done over 1000 miles in the 3.0 since buying the M - getting the most out of my trade-in before handing it over :D

i saw your car the other day again :)

we were wandering around the AUCar's outside, nice CSL there, and I saw it inside, parked nicely.. I think being prepped? I took a pic which I was gonna post, but you can't really see it coz it was dark.

Yep, being washed and polished etc I assume . When I got my 3.0 I got a free seal and protect for free, doubt I`ll be that lucky this time.
