Oil quantity for diff and gearbox

Hi

I Want to change the oils of my car (Z4 3.0i) and im decided to buy next:

For the Diff: Castrol Syntrax Long Life 75W-90
For the Gearbox: Castrol Syntrans B 75W

Anyone can confirms the liters needed for each? Thanks!

Thanks, but in manual transmission doesn't appear capacity :(

Differential, rear
Capacity : Capacity 1,2 litre

Use : Normal
Products : TRX Synth 75w90 (5252)

Transmission, manual 5/1
Use : Normal
Products : TRX Synth 75w80 (7765)
 
That's odd ? Anyhow you will need 2 litres for gearbox & 2 litres for diff (won't take all of it though )

As you add oil to both until it starts to come back out the filler hole - then you know it's full. Simples :thumbsup:

Yes, but i need to know the quantity because i need to purchase the oils from internet.

You have to buy 2 litres of each , they don't sell it in exact amounts like 1.4 litre & 1 litre isn't enough :wink:
 
Useful point & I'm sure you'd have realised but make sure you can loosen off the fill plugs before draining the old oil out.

My auto box takes over 8ltrs, just cost me a f*ckin fortune with the new filter kit, :( :(
But thats it for another 90 thou,
