Oil level indicator wrong measure?

I've just topped up the oil engine (roughly every 1000 miles) and noticed that the electronic oil check says +1.

I've never had problems with the oil check, but what I've noticed in one occasion is that after putting slighly more than 1L, the oil check in the dashboard would indicate 3/4 instead of full. After some time, it's gone back to full 4/4 as if it could now measure it correctly as some of the oil would be consumed.
I wonder whether this overtopping makes the internal sensor give wrong measurement?

After the last topup, the amount of oil should be correct though.
Is there a way to reset that check (assuming for now that the sensor is still working fine) or what could be causing this mis-reading?

If you look at previous posts regarding this you’ll see a theme where the electronic sensor seems slow to respond to any topping up, it’s not resettable but just need time

Thanks Rob :)
I didn't manage to filter the results well enough apparently. It looks like there have been all sorts of situations with the oil check.
Thanks for pointing me to the cause. I'll keep it monitorored. :)
