Oil Gauge Low After Oil Service

Hi everyone, I've just taken my car for an oil service but the gauge is still reading as low as it was before. Does anyone know if this is normal? Do I need to drive it properly for a couple of hours for it to read full again?

Yes the oil was definitely changed, and yes, electronic dipstick. Perhaps its faulty? 6.5 litres went in and id rather not overfill it
 
Did they flush your engine first?

Some don't believe in this, I prefer to have it done to potentially break down any clumps that might have formed.
