Oil flush

Hi, I've had my current Z4, a 3.0 se 2003 in Titan silver, for about two months now. I want to change the oil so I have a fresh start. Service indicator says 9000 m to next change but I don't know what's in there and it looks mingin to me!
Just wondered what the general consensus is on oil flush additives prior to changing the oil, wynn's or similar?

In general I'd rather do frequent (2x OEM recommendation) oil changes. In such cases I really don't see the need, though it probably doesn't hurt. But as a one time thing for a newly purchased used car it's not a bad idea, though I personally probably still would not bother. IMO though, not necessarily representative of general consensus.

I agree, I wouldn't personally carry out the oil flush, I would just be just changing the oil & filter for a piece of mind.

i was in the same position as you and I didn't do flush just some motul 10-40 100% synthetic and a new filter. loosening up bits of old cruddy s**t in the engine all at once scares me
