oil change

hi all, i have a bmw z4 coupe and i want to change the oil, so once all the oil has been drained out the car how many L should i put back in. - it does not have a dip stick, but does have a oil gauge that you can see from the dash, however i would prefer to know a ruff amount of what should be put in from fresh

the capacity is stated in your manual as 6.5l so I fill 6 litres and topup the rest according to the oil level gauge. Min to max on the electronic gauge is 1 litres worth. There no alternative to a dipstick imo but there you go hope this helps.

Mine went in for an oil service last month at BMW and I supplied them 6.5L and they gave me back 0.5L. Display says full so I assume 6L.
