Oil additive for diff? Also, anyone at FOS?

Afternoon all, I hope like me you have been thoroughly enjoying the nice weather...a quick q. I may, or may not, have a slightly noisy diff (still trying to work out what might be causing it a noise - I know it's not the wheels, and very unlikely to be the tyres, but..) so one cheap way of trying to fix it is maybe to add an additive - has anyone done this, and is it easy?

Secondly, and totally unrelated, I shall be blasting down to the Festival of Speed next week, anyone else going, and anything BMW related (or not) that are particularly excited to see?

Maybe changing the diff oil would be ok.

99% of the work is getting to it, and being able to get fluid inside.

If you are going to get to the point where you can use oil additive, you may as well replace the oil instead.

How did you notice the noise and how did you confirm it’s not wheels / bearings etc.

Had the garage get it up on the ramp and spin/wiggle everything as appropriate! Also changed all the discs and pads just in case.
