Ohlins BMS MP50S1 for 2011 Z4 3.0i E89

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2011 Z4 sDrive3.0i E89. The struts are done and require replacement. I planned to retrofit with the Ohlins BMS MP50S1, but this product is discontinued and no longer available. Additionally, dealerships in North America and Europe do not have this component in stock.

Has anyone attempted to retrofit an alternative Ohlins product on the E89? If I am unable to locate an Ohlins shock, I will revert to the OEM struts and coils combination.

Since the Ohlins are all made up from bags of bits I’d think its possible for an Ohlins service centre / retailer to be able to build a set..

I had my set serviced last November and it needed a few parts …looking at the service agent workshop they assume could build a set..

Great product..if expensive
