Got back from my holidays yesterday. Two weeks away in San Francisco and Hawaii driving some truly awe inspiring roads. Road to Hana on Maui is apparently considered one of the ultimate roads in the world to drive and was a hell of a lot of fun. 52kms with a shedload of clifftop bends and waterfalls. Was like being in a real life Outrun game
Followed up by a similarily twisty turny ride up to the top of the islands volcano Haleakala 10k feet as the sun set...

...the only downside was that I had to do both in a really rubbish Ford Focus SEL auto
Foolishly didnt upgrade to another hire car while out there (hundreds of Camaros and Mustangs) and am sure I bored the face off my gf by constantly saying things like "this road would be so amazing in the Zed" or "really wish I could drive this in the ///M".
Anyways, slept of the jetlag last night and went out to the garage today for a quick hoon around SE London. Difficult as the roads here have been closed most of the day because I live on the startline of the London marathon
but I managed to weave my way out and the smile on my face must have been seen from space. The smell of it, the roar of it, the speed of it...
I love my car
...that is all.
