Probably already knows the real cost of getting the roof fixed, can't afford it and is tying to offload it on some poor unsuspecting novice!

Although it prbably does have a roof motor failure, there is hydraulic fluid in the system, that is how it is lowered, it isnt mechanical and i have heard of one roof failure due a failed hydraulic hose.
