Hi Folks,from a future owner.
Having spent many years touring on bike's,currently R1200gs, my good lady Joanne,has decided that whilst she still loves getting on the bike,long continental trips are now to much.
So after much deliberation we decided we would still use the bike for 4/5 day trips,but for anything longer we would look at the possibility of purchasing a roadster.
After testing several roadsters we absolutely fell for the idea and decided to look for a nice 2.2 Z3 for around the 6K mark.
Purely by chance we drove a 2.0 Z4 which whilst it felt a little underpowered,we both prefered to tht Z3.
The down side being that we are going to need around 12K to purchase what we would like.This means that we will have to wait until around October before we can start to look in ernest.That still gives us plenty of time to educate ourselves to the pro's and con's of this fine looking car before we make our purchase.
Our thinking at this time is leaning toward an 04/05 2.5 with low milage and full history in bright red.
This site has already been enjoyable and informative.
Can't wait to start looking.
