OEM front wing or not?

Hi all. I need to buy a new front wing for my car however I am wondering if it will be better to quite simply purchase a used OEM one and have it sprayed to the correct colour or to purchase a non OEM one. Has anyone bought one of the two below and if so what was the quality like?

I would get a used one as it will be the correct size. I picked one up on eBay in the right colour so it also worked out a lot cheaper.
 
if you can get a good second hand original bmw wing go for that .the spurious copy's rarely fit as nice the join lines and shut gaps are not as neat .also euro car parts body panels are not always a cheaper option I fitted new wings to my r170 slk euro car parts price was £260 per side and only one side was available genuine Mercedes were £135 next day delivered
 
I need a nsf wing also. Having trouble locating a sterling grey one without dents and scratches.

Apparently johnny essex has a pattern part front wing on his Z4 and if he doesn't have a problem with it then it must be good.

That's OK if you know who made it, but there could be half a dozen companies making them.
 
I do have a nearside fron wing in Black Sapphire if anybody is interested. It has been repaired already. I replaced as the colour match wasnt great and one of the creased isnt as sharp but most people wouldn't notice, as i didn't when I bought the car. It was only when removing the front bumper and being that close to it I saw.

If anybody is interested let me know and I can post up some pictures.
 
I'm really surprised that the Z4 was considered high volume enough for pattern part makers to produce body panels.
 
Many thanks guys. Called the up Chigwell sytner and a primed original one is £270 inc VAT so it is not too bad. Johnny essex do you know what company your panel was manufactured by?

try ringing imperial panels they supply most of the aftermarket panel company's. anything cheaper than there quote will be ...well you get what you pay for .I own a small car body shop and fit many panels genuine and non genuine in fact thousands over the last 30 years and i have never come across a non genuine panel that fitted as good as oem .they can usually be fettled by a pro to pass inspection but that usually means grinding bits away cutting bits off enlarging or elongating mounting holes ect.
