Anybody have idea what it is?

A search of cutters suggested “dekor silber (a55)”, so I gave it a go -

Umm, nope. :?

Further searching throws up “hyper silver”, but that seems a bit generic. Doesn’t need to be perfect, mind.

BMW, Farbcode A55, Dekorsilber Metallic, aka Hyper Silver.

However, BMW do not sell alloy wheel paint. In fact there’s only 4 different shades of silver on the market that you can purchase: normal, bright, sparkle and mercury. Hyper Silver is a silver paint over a black primer. This means that, alloy wheel refurb companies have to mix and match the colours to replicate the OE CSL finish.

I’m afraid the only way to guarantee an exact colour match is to buy new Genuine CSL wheels from main dealer.

That's interesting, thanks. I was actually surprised at the suggestions of hyper silver because I know it's a multi-component finish. I didn't think the BBS CSL colour was that complex because it's quite a flat, light shade, but it must be quite hard to replicate because of the number of threads you see on the topic. The primer is definitely grey though, not black.

The cheapo wheel touch up silver I have is the closest so far - might just go with that for now and get a proper Lepsons job done (with the interior rims in a flat grey) next year.
